Arbjan Mazniku is a Member of the Parliament of Albania since September 2025, leading the Committee on Territorial Reform. From 2023 to 2025, he held the post of Minister of State for Local Government, following eight years as Deputy Mayor of Tirana Municipality (2015–2023). Earlier in his public career, he helped draft the Education Reform as Deputy Minister of Education and Sports (2013–2015). Before public engagement, Mr. Mazniku was Executive Director of the AGENDA Institute, a think tank dedicated to public policy analysis in Albania, with a strong focus on governance, European integration, and economic and social development. His earlier civic engagement began with the MJAFT Movement (2003–2007), an initiative designed to mobilize youth and encourage good governance in Albania. Mr. Mazniku studied journalism at the University of Tirana and earned a Master’s degree in Political Communication from the University of Sheffield, UK. He has also completed distinguished executive education programs, including Leading Economic Growth at Harvard University (2014) and the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative (2017–2018).
