Dr. Anjes Tjarks is Minister for Transport and Mobility Transition in Hamburg since June 2020. Previously, he was a member of Hamburg Parliament (2011-2020), where he acted as chair of the Green parliamentary group from 2015 to 2020. Tjarks studied education, English and social sciences in Hamburg and South Africa and holds a PhD in political sciences and cognitive linguistics.
