Merve Yılmaz is an urban planner and researcher currently serving as a faculty member in the Department of City and Regional Planning at Gebze Technical University, Türkiye. Her work focuses on spatial modeling and data analysis in urban studies. She integrates geographic information systems, remote sensing, and advanced computational methods—including deep learning and neural networks—into planning research. Her research interests include digital city science, spatial data infrastructures, ecosystem services, urban energy systems, the application of information technologies in planning, and sustainable urban land use.
