Samuel A. Ajayi is a transport engineer and researcher with academic credentials that include a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering, an M.Eng. in Transportation Engineering, and a PhD in the same field. He is currently affiliated with the Global Network of Young Scholars and serves as a Principal Research Fellow at the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute. He is also a Research Fellow at the Regional Transport Research and Education Centre, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana.

Dr. Ajayi has received funding, grants, and endorsements from prestigious institutions such as the Volvo Research and Educational Foundation (VREF) and the World Bank to conduct transport and mobility research across African cities. His scholarly contributions span transport planning, traffic congestion, active mobility, environmental pollution, and public health. He has authored numerous publications and presented his work at various local and international conferences.
